BUNYANGABU – The Bunyangabu County Member of Parliament -elect, Mr. Victor Kalenzi, has taken an early step toward fulfilling his leadership agenda by donating an ultrasound scan machine to Kibiito Health Centre, barely a day after being declared the winner of the closely contested parliamentary election.

The donation was made in the presence of hundreds of enthusiastic supporters who had gathered to celebrate his victory. The ceremony was held at Rwenzori Sports Hotel & Spa.

While addressing the crowd, Kalenzi said the donation symbolised his commitment to improving healthcare services in Bunyangabu County.

“This is just the beginning. I am committed to strengthening health service delivery in our county, and this ultrasound machine is part of that commitment.” He remarked

Kalenzi explained that Kibiito HC has, for a long time, operated without a reliable ultrasound machine, a challenge that has limited effective prenatal care and other essential medical services. The new equipment is expected to enhance service delivery, particularly for expectant mothers.

After receiving the donation, the Bunyangabu District Health Officer, Dr Richard Obeti, expressed appreciation, describing the equipment as a significant boost to the facility.

“This is a game-changer for Kibiito. It will greatly improve the quality of care we offer to our patients.” She said

Speeches, cultural performances, and the symbolic handover of the ultrasound machine to the health centre authorities characterised the event. The crowd applauded as the MP-elect reiterated his commitment to supporting health and other development initiatives across Bunyangabu County.
